Zoe Saldana was born on June 19, 1978, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her father was Dominican and her mother is Puerto Rican. Her family was from Queens, New York. As she reached the age of 10, she along with her parents relocated to the Dominican Republic. They lived in the Dominican Republic for seven more years. Zoe discovered a love to dance while in Dominican Republic. She began training with the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy and was there to learn dance and various forms of dance. In addition to being able to offer a great outlet for the enthusiastic and energetic youngster but it also proved to be an excellent preparation to the beginning of the professional career of an actor. At age 17, Zoe and her family returned in her home in the United States where her love for dance followed and an interest in theater performance became more intense. Zoe has not only held her own in major motion picture productions but gained the respect and praise from industry insiders such as Jerry Bruckheimer and Steven Spielberg and other actors/actresses including Tom Hanks, Bernie Mac, Keira Knightley, Ashton Kutcher, Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom. Zoe has a broad spectrum of talent, intense concentration and an unwavering determination to take on projects with various characters and subject matter. In addition, she will be present in Focus Feature's The Outfit (2020) directed by Graham Moore. In this film, she appears as a co-star with Mark Rylance & Dylan O'Brien. In this film she was nominated in the "Best Supporting Actor" award at 2022 BIFA. Deutch as well as the writer Katie Silberman will then reunite in their second romantic comedy, Most Dangerous Game. Deutch collaborated with Silberman for Set It Up, Netflix's Set It Up 2018 hit.
