Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had many skills, such as being able to act, direct and produce plays, as well as write them, teach, and be Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's dad is from Britain, and her mother was an Turkish Cypriot English expat. Anna Silk remembers her mother watching work at play rehearsals. In her early years, Anna was featured in a variety of commercials. Anna moved from Toronto in 1999 to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in an Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her husband in 2009. Anna converted to Judaism in January 2011 and the couple renewed their vows at the Jewish wedding in Fredericton. Bo's same sex relationship, together with Lauren (played Zoie Palermo), was listed in CNN as one of the most popular Television Couples. E! named it "the best television Couple" of 2013.
